Installation of W.Bro Ian Graham

On the 21st January 2023 at our 456th Regular Meeting, Worshipful Brother Ian Graham was installed into the Chair of King Solomon as our 116th Worshipful Master.

Members of the Earl of Dartmouth Lodge and their visitors enjoyed a very special afternoon and evening and it was clear that the hard work of members of the Lodge paid off. The installing, and now Past Master, W. Bro. Christopher Bennett conducted the ceremonry is a sincere, and solemn manner.

More junior Bretheren then had the opportunity to conduct their first pieces of work within the Lodge. The presentation of the working tool’s in all three degrees and Addresses were fantastic and those members of the Lodge should be proud of their work. The Hall Stone Jewel was also presented by a junior member conducting his first piece of work.

W.Bro. Ian then had the opportunity to install his officers for the year to come. He impressed all who witnessed this due to the heartfelt manner of delivery and also by delivering some extended investment ritual located in the back of the Emulation book, which are rarely conducted.

The Earl of Dartmouth Lodge consideres itself exceptionally lucky to have a Master as dedicated, caring and exceptional as W. Bro Ian. He has made clear his intentions to grow the Lodge under his mastership and beyond. And to invest time into supporting the junior Bretheren in their masonic journey. With W. Bro. Ian’s determination and vision and an already thriving Lodge, the future is bright for the EoD.

The Festive Board was held at The Plough Pub, just a short walk from Freemason’s Hall. It was the first occasion we had dined at this venue and a good time was held by all and it provided a special ending to a spectacular afternoon.

The Earl of Dartmouth Lodge continues to thrive as a healthy Lodge with new initiates in the pipeline and all juniour positions being filled with light blue aprons.

Congratulations to W. Bro. Ian, the very best wishes for what is sure to be a fantastic year ahead.
